Baptism (or Christening as it is also called) is an important part of the Christian faith. During baptism, promises are made that a person will grow up following Jesus and they are welcomed into the wider church family.

All of the baptisms at St. Helen's take place during the normal Sunday services when the regular congregation is there to welcome and support all those who are being baptised.

If you would like your child to be baptised or you would like to be baptised yourself at St Helen's then you will need to live within the parish of Cliffe, Cliffe Woods and Cooling and start coming to church. This is an important thing to do!  We would love to get to know you and you will need to know the church that you are promising to be a part of.

Once you've come along a few times, Dave, our Licensed Lay Minister will arrange to meet with you to talk further about the significance of baptism and potentially look at dates.
